Joan Mabe Crouse

Joan Mabe Crouse, age 65 of 67 Carson Blvd., Sparta, NC passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born February 3, 1952 in Ashe County to the late Ted and Grace Houck Mabe. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Mabe; one step-brother, Leonard Mabe. Joan enjoyed being a caregiver and reading her Bible. She is survived by two sons, Jerrold Davis and wife Kelaiya of Sparta, Jason Crouse of Sparta; three daughters, Loretta Riddle and husband Kyle of Mooresville, Meagan Jimenez and husband Javier of Mountain City, TN, Kimberly Crouse of Sparta; ten grandchildren, Austin Davis, Katelyn Davis, Daisy Jimenez, Jasmine Jimenez, Chase Crouse, Noah Crouse, Isabella Crouse, Selena Hernandez, Juan Galvan, Reyna Benitez; four sisters, Teddie Privett, Delilah Richardson, Mary Ellen Spears, Joy Francis; two brothers, Jack Mabe and Larry Mabe; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Joan at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 24, 2017 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
