Nell Weaver Caldwell

Nell Weaver Caldwell, age 91 formerly of 747 Garvey Road, Piney Creek, NC died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elkin, NC. She was born January 15, 1925 to the late Hobert C. and Luna Hash Weaver. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Caldwell; son, Jerry Joe Caldwell. She is survived by three sons, Michael Caldwell and wife Vicki of Pilot Mountain, Joseph Caldwell and wife Carolyn of Sparta, George Caldwell and wife Shelia of Piney Creek; two daughters, Carmelita Dimeler and husband Donnie of La Plata, MD, Carolyn Billings and husband Danny of Kernersville; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Nell at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Sparta with Reverend John McCray officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Activity Department, Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 700 Johnson Ridge Road, Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to thank the staff at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for all the wonderful care, and also to Administration David Duvall and Jane Montgomery Director of Nursing for their support.
