Willy Wilson, Sr.

William Carroll “Willy” Wilson, Sr., age 80 of Sparta, NC, and previously of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Genesis HealthCare in Sparta, NC. He was born October 19, 1936 in Saint Mary’s County, Maryland to the late Presley and Ruth Joy Wilson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Wilson, Calvin Wilson; one sister, Ester Cox. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn “Reynolds” Wilson of the home; one daughter, Pamela Farley and husband Carl of Bel Air, MD; one son, William Carroll Wilson, Jr., and wife Haydee G. of Clayton, DE; five grandchildren, Morgan Farley, Megan Farley, Isabel Wilson, Liam Wilson, Wyeth Wilson; three sisters, Thelma Pletzer of Finksburg, MD, Dorothy Haviland of Felton, PA; Betty Lou Norris and husband Melvin of Sparta; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
