Anna Lee Halsey Williams, age 62, of Sparta, North Carolina passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born on June 25, 1961 in Alleghany County, North Carolina, a daughter of Jessie Hash Halsey of Sparta and the late Charles "Sam" Neaves Halsey. Anna worked for the North Carolina Utilities Commission as a Pipeline Engineer for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting bushes and flowers. She was preceded in death by her Father, Charles "Sam" Neaves Halsey; Brother, Michael Halsey. Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory in addition to her mother are two sons, Shane (Toni) Williams of Laurel Springs, NC, Michael Galloway of Sparta, NC; daughter, Leslie Cheek of Elkin, NC; two granddaughters, Lila Williams, Baylie Thomas; Brother, Terry (Lisa) Halsey of Sparta, NC; niece, Selena (Cole) Osborne of Piney Creek, NC; nephew, Tyler Halsey of Sparta, NC special friend, Donald Bare. Graveside services for Anna Lee Williams will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Potato Creek Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Parks. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice. I am so so sad to see that Anna has passed. We own the house next to her in Sparta and every time we were in town we’d go see her and try to have a meal together. We would text often when we were out of town for a while. We have been praying for her nightly for a while. I am happy she is not in pain any more; but we sure will miss her.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Anna. I worked with for about 10 years at the North Carolina Utilities Commission. Such a great lady who worked very hard while always having a smile on her face. She will be sorely missed!❤️🩹😢
