Arlena Harris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maude Arlena Caudle Harris, age 85 of 2356 Grandview Drive, Sparta, NC passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC. She was born August 25, 1933 in Surry County to the late Charlie Franklin and Clema Frances Medley Caudle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Neal Harris. Arlena attended Sparta Church of God. After retirement from Dr. Grabow Pipe Factory, she was a longtime volunteer at Alleghany Cares and Hospice. Arlena was a devoted Christian and dedicated to her Bible study. In her life, she was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved the Lord Jesus and is now in his arms. She is survived by two sons, Charles F. Harris and wife Leila of Laurel Springs, David M. Harris and wife Juanita of Sparta; six grandchildren, Robert Harris and wife Linda of Raleigh, Frank Harris and wife Michelle of Moravian Falls, Beth Hall of Baywood, VA, Deanne Johnson and husband Chris of Galax, VA, Kimberly Hash of Sparta, Robbie Hash of Winston-Salem; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Caudle and wife Janeen of Ocala, FL, James Caudle of Sparta; one sister, Pauline Hamm and husband Will of Sparta; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Arlena at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Combs and Brother Ralph Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
