Avalee Andrews Caudill, age 76 of Winston Salem, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Alleghany County on March 13, 1940 to the late Carl and Bettie Toliver Andrews and was the widow of Bobby Dean Caudill. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edsel Andrews and a granddaughter, Lisa Caudill Horsley. She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Pope of Winston Salem; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jennie Lowry Caudill of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Dwain and Terry Andrews of Charlotte; seven grandchildren; Amber Kelly, Lauren Newsome, Lindsey Higgins, Alex Pope, James Caudill, Rickie Caudill and Madeline Caudill; four great-grandchildren; Tanner Horsley, Tyler Kelly, Madison Kelly and Aaliyah Higgins also survive.The family request the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Avalee at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Old Town Baptist Church in Winston Salem Dr. Rick Speas will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday at the church. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Whitehead Joines Cemetery in the Whitehead Community in Sparta.
