Bobby Holloway

Robert Tyra “Bobby” Holloway, age 76 of 6712 US Hwy 21 S, Glade Valley, NC passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1943 in Alleghany County to the late Wheeler and Vivia Brooks Holloway. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Ann Kibler; one brother-in-law, Bill Kibler. Bobby served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Peak Creek Church of the Brethren. Bobby was a quiet, loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind his loving family and caring friends. He will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pat Holloway of the home; one daughter, Becky Willard and husband Donald Hammond of Laurel Springs; one granddaughter, Sarah Willard of Laurel Springs; one niece, Ellen Harris and husband Glenn of Myrtle Beach, SC; one nephew, Edward Kibler; one great-niece, Amy Jo Devonshire of Galax, VA; one great-great-niece, Jessica Devonshire of Roanoke, VA; special friends, Larry Willard of Sparta, Mac McGee of Sparta. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Bobby at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Ed Hall and Brother Tim Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehead-Joines Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peak Creek Youth Fund, c/o Anne Bowlin, 2082 Peak Creek Church Road, Laurel Springs, NC 28644.
