Charles Stilson

Charles Stilson, age 91 beloved husband of Jacqueline E. Stilson went home to join his wife on Thursday, December 22, 2022. He was born on August 12, 1931 in Niles, Illinois to the late Norman Stilson and Florence Arnold Stilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jim Stilson and a sister Verna Steele. Charles and Jacqueline were united in marriage on May 14, 1955. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Charles loved to work in his garden and he was an excellent cook. He served his country in the U.S. Marines and worked as a communication Engineer for 30 years. He is survived by his children, Kimberly A. Harris and husband James R. Harris, Jr. of Browns Summit, Joan E. Flowers and husband Michael of Minton, FL, Patricia L. Stilson of Atlanta, GA, Steven C. Stilson of Pensacola, FL, Susan L. Scott and husband David of Daphne AL, Philip M. Stilson of Atlanta Georgia; grandchildren, Heather A. Waller and husband Doug, Jennifer L. Gray and husband Chris, Michael Flowers, Austin Stilson, Kimberly S. Lewis and husband Tylan, Jack D. Scott, and Samuel E. Scott; five great-grandchildren; sister in law, Mary Schwartz and Delores Schwartz; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Charles at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30 2022 at Grandview Memorial funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
