Cora Lee Jarvis

Cora Lee Jarvis, age 85, of Ennice, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Chatham Nursing Center in Elkin, NC. Cora Lee was born on October 4, 1938 in Alleghany County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Kyle Rector and the late Alma Anderson Rector. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Sparta and retired from Walmart and worked for Alleghany Cares for many years. Cora enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially for the holidays. Feeding and watching birds brought so much joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Alma Rector; Father, Kyle Rector; Husband, Redell Jarvis; Brother, Thomas Rector. Cora leaves behind to cherish her memory Son, Jack (Lesa) Jarvis of Glade Valley, NC; Daughter, Darlene (Gregg) Wyatt of Ennice, NC; Three grandchildren, Shana (Stephen) Jarvis Ingram of Spring Valley, VA, Kala (fiance' Emilio Lopez) Jarvis of Jonesville, NC, Jessica (Levi) Wyatt Huffman of Ennice, NC; Three great grandchildren, Taytum Grace Huffman, Landon Lopez, Clay Wyatt Huffman; Special cousin, Patricia Curtis of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews. Services for Cora Lee Jarvis will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Chatham Nursing Center and to the nurses and staff of Medi Home Hospice.
