Delores Billings Brooks

Opal Delores Billings Brooks, age 86 of Sparta, NC passed away October 12, 2023 at Lotus Village. She was born November 16, 1936 to the late Elmer and Carrie Williams Billings. She was also preceded in death by her husband Billy Edwin Brooks; one sister, Annie Madge Roark; one brother, Odis Brooks. She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Duncan and husband John of Jonesville; three grandchildren, Jason Duncan of Statesville, Trent Duncan and wife Elizabeth of Asheville, Jarel Duncan and wife Amanda of Raleigh; three great-grandchildren, Luke Duncan, Iris Duncan and Elise Duncan of Asheville; special nephew, Bobby Citrano and wife Debra of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Delores at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitation. Interment will follow at Woodruff Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the 400 Hall at Lotus Village.
