Edith B. Richardson

Edith Busic Richardson, a cherished member of the community in Sparta, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023, at the remarkable age of 104. Her life, a testament to resilience and love, touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on May 31, 1919, Edith lived a life enriched by compassion and wisdom. She was a loving mother to her son, Kenneth Earl Richardson, and daughter-in-law, Betty Wilson Richardson. Her legacy is carried on by her devoted grandchildren: Susan Babineau, Deborah Crouch, Kenneth William Richardson, and Kristin Ledford. Edith was beloved by eleven great-grandchildren and was delighted to meet her great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a number of close nieces and nephews. Edith was immensely proud of her family and found joy in watching them flourish. Edith had a distinguished career with Lowe's Companies, Inc., where her dedication and expertise made a lasting impact. She was highly regarded by her coworkers for her organizational skills and diligence. An avid gardener, she cultivated not only beautiful flowers but also an abundant array of vegetables. Her dedication to growing fresh produce reflected her nurturing nature and love for sharing wholesome goodness with her family and friends. In the kitchen, she was a devoted cook, delighting her family and friends with her delicious meals, often prepared with the vegetables from her garden. Her recipes will continue to be treasured by her loved ones. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, a guiding light of love, resilience, and wisdom. The family will honor Edith Busic Richardson's life through a private family event.
