Ennice Maines Monk

Ennice Maines Monk, age 87 of Sparta, NC died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Genesis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Sparta. She was born January 31, 1928 in Alleghany County to the late Robert Lee and Zona Sexton Maines. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Burns Kemper Monk; two brothers, Charles Letcher Maines and Kemp Lee Maines. She is survived by one sister, Bobbie Maines Crouse of Sparta; one nephew, Ricky Crouse and wife Joann of Sparta; two nieces, Brenda Edwards and husband Heath of Sparta, Thalassa Wilmoth and husband Adam of Thurmond; two great-grand nephews, Calvin Wilmoth of Thurmond and Jason Edwards of Sparta; one great-grand niece, Madison Wilmoth of Thurmond. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Monk at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Wagg and Brother Ed Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Bobbie Crouse, 587 Napco Road, Sparta, NC.
