Glenn Franklin Anthony, age 86 of Sparta, NC passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Genesis HealthCare in Sparta, NC. He was born April 22, 1933 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Edgar Grover and Mammie Lucille Frost Anthony. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Rutherford; one brother, Edward Lee Anthony. He was a longtime member of Little Pine Liberty Baptist Church. He is survived by one sister, Ila Faye Wood and husband Bobby G. of Traphill; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to celebrate the life of Glenn at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Little Pine Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Roten officiating. Interment will follow at Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at church. The family would like to extend special thanks to Joyce Walker and Reverend Jerry Roten.
