Grady C. Cranford

Grady C. Cranford, age 80 of Sparta, NC passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at PruittHealth. He was born August 14, 1943 to the late Joe and Alice Irwin Cranford. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Delma Smith. Grady loved to hunt with Darren, Jacob, Dan, Darin Church, Dylan and James at Buck Mountain in Virginia. He loved to ride his bicycle regularly. He loved country music and playing his guitar. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Coe of Sparta; one son, Darren Cranford (Deana) of Sparta; five grandchildren, Makayla Cranford (Stevie) of Sparta, Jacob Cranford and wife (Brooke) of Sparta, Dylan Cheek and wife (Diana) of Elkin, Zoe and Melah Cheek of Elkin; three great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Ellie, Macon; his Sweetie, Janie C (Cheek) of Elkin; one brother, Danny Cranford and wife (Gerri) of Sparta; one sister, Wanda Roberts of Sparta; special niece, Randi Cranford of Sparta. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Grady at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend James Worrell officiating. Interment will follow in the J.P. Irwin Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
