Harry Lee Speeks

Harry Lee Speeks, age 77 of 190 Ridge Road, Roaring Gap, NC passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Charlotte, NC. He was born May 15, 1939 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Daniel Lonnie and Maggie Burke Speeks. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Goldia Blevins Speeks; one brother, John Floyd Speeks; one sister, Ida Mae Speeks. He is survived by one daughter, Karen Speeks Holton of Lexington, SC; one son, Harry Stefan Speeks of Jamestown; one granddaughter, Lauren Nicole Holton of Charleston; one brother, Dwight Speeks and wife Jimmie Ruth of Bluefield, VA; one niece, Nancy Watson and husband Jeff of Greensboro; two nephews, Danny Speeks and wife Cathy of Decatur, AL, Jeff Speeks of Tazewell, VA. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Harry at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017 at Sparta United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery in Roaring Gap, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
