Henry Rex Troutt, Jr., age 77, of Sparta, North Carolina passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 in Sparta, NC. He was born on December 8, 1946 in Forsyth County, North Carolina, a son of the late Henry Rex Troutt and the late Dorothy Legains Troutt. Henry retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco after 34 years as an Electrician. While attending West Forsyth High School he was a champion wrestler, earning titles in 1964 and 1965. He was a member of the Sparta Presbyterian Church, Antique Car Club and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, loved animals and spending time in his garden. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy Troutt; Father, Henry Rex Troutt, Sr. Henry leaves behind to cherish his memory Wife Sylvia Maines of the home; Daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Henderson of Salisbury, NC; Sister, Barbara Sue Evans of Winston Salem, NC. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30 Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Grandview Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am in the Sparta Cemetery with Rev. Ed Hall officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ms. Janet Royal. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to special friends James Bare, Ralph Moorefield and the Wessells, Greene Family and Barringer families for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Heart Association or Twin Oak Veterinary Hospital.
