Iva Z. Saltz

Iva Zell Saltz age 87 of Sparta, NC passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1935 to the late S.M. and Lura Halsey Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Jimmy Saltz; two sisters, Dorothy Adams and Lorene Bedwell; one brother, R.L. Jones. Iva was a member of Osborne Memorial Baptist Church. She worked at Sparta Pipe for over 30 years. She is survived by Alan Saltz and wife Rene of Sparta, Larry Saltz and wife Christine of Sparta; three grandchildren, Andy Saltz and wife Jessica of Laurel Springs, Bill Saltz of Piney Creek, Brandon Saltz of Sparta; four great-grandchildren, Emily Saltz, Owen Saltz, Brayden Saltz and Taylin Saltz; one sister, Joann Plummer of Rock Hill, SC; special neighbor, Irene Adams; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Iva at 12:00 noon Monday, October 23, 2023 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Hugh Miller officiating. Interment will follow in South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
