Jewell McGuire

Kettella Jewell McGuire, age 92 of Sparta, NC passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Genesis HealthCare in Sparta, NC. She was born October 13, 1926 in Alleghany County to the late Charles Henry and Zenna Lou Halsey McGuire. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Eugene McGuire; one sister, Alice Summerlin. She was a special aunt and heaven has gained an angel. She is survived by one niece, Donna Testerman and husband Bill of Aberdeen, MD; one nephew, Bill McGuire and wife Melinda of Aberdeen, MD; two great-nieces, Angela Testerman of Aberdeen, MD, and Linnea Testerman of Perryville, MD; one great-nephew, Daniel Testerman of Conowingo, MD. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Jewell at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Hugh Miller officiating. Interment will follow in South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Herbert Hooper, 94 Happy Lane, Fries, VA 24330.
