John Alton "Buddy" Caudill

John Alton “Buddy” Caudill, age 78, of 6572 Hwy. 18 South, Laurel Springs, NC died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1934 to the late John Columbus and Wilma Wagoner Caudill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Greene. He is survived by his wife, Carol Benge Caudill of the home; two sons, Mark A. Caudill, and Timothy A. Caudill and wife Trinidad all of Sparta; one grandson, William Mack Caudill of the home; four step-grandchildren, Marco Adams of Sparta, Benita Adams of Greensboro, Latosha Adams of Washington, D.C., and Melissa Caudill of Sparta; one brother, Mack Caudill and wife Shelia of Buford, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Landmark Union Baptist Church in the Whitehead Community of Sparta with Rev. Ed Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the residence.
