Karen Presnell

Karen Kay Presnell, age 64, of Sparta, NC passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Elkin Assisted Living in Elkin, NC. She was born January 3, 1955 in Alleghany County to John Russell and Marie Greene Presnell. She was preceded in death by her father. Karen loved art, animals and dancing. She is survived by her mother, Marie Presnell of Sparta; two sisters, Candy Harris of Sparta, Paula Pierce and husband John of Traphill; one brother, Jerry Presnell of Sparta; two nieces, Donna Poindexter and Amanda Harris; three great-nephews, Lathan Neugent, Ty Neugent, and Preston Poindexter; two great-nieces, Kenzie Harris and Corrithian Hill. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Karen at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Elder Kenneth Presnell and Reverend Roy Houser officiating. Interment will follow in Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Paula and John Pierce, 802 Macedonia Church Road, Sparta, NC 28675.
