Ken "Wormy" Setzer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ken “Wormy” Setzer, age 75 of Sparta, NC passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at W.G. Bill Hefner Medical Center V.A. Hospice Unit in Salisbury, NC. He was born January 6, 1942 in Alleghany County to the late James George Setzer and Virginia Osborne Setzer. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Setzer and Edward Setzer. Ken retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of Sparta United Methodist Church. He was an avid cook and golfer. He loved Carolina basketball and the New York Yankees. He is survived by two brothers, Larry Setzer and wife Mary of Laurel Springs, Dennis Setzer and wife Patricia of Winnemucca, NV; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the Gathering of Remembrance service to honor the life of Ken at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Miller and Bruce Wayne Osborne VFW Post #7034 officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
