Lola Jones Richardson

Lola Jones Richardson, age 99, of Sparta, NC died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Alleghany Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sparta. She was born on January 30, 1913 in Alleghany County to the late Lester and Bessie Irwin Jones. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Richardson; one daughter, Dorothy Eastridge. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Grubb of Scottville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Woodrow of Conowingo, MD; one sister-in-law, Ruth Bryant of Laurel Springs; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Grandview Memorial Chapel with Reverend Frank Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Fork Cemetery in Laurel Springs. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
