Nancey Nichols Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancey Truitt Nichols, age 78, of 130 E. Cheek Street, Sparta, NC passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born May 11, 1941 to the late Foster William and Dorothy Edwards Truitt. Nancey loved the Lord and the things of the Lord, and was a member of Little River Primitive Baptist Church. She was a gifted seamstress and loved to craft. She was an excellent keeper of her home. Nancey also loved her family time and enjoyed those special times of music making and clogging. She is survived by two sons, Tracy Nichols and wife Karin of Sparta, Trever Nichols and wife Elaine of Sparta; three grandchildren, Amanda Howell and husband Matthew, Andrew Nichols and wife Kristen, Brandon Nichols all of Sparta; six great-grandchildren, Karis Howell, Addie Howell, Wesley Carpenter, Olivia Howell, Anderson Nichols, and Ruthie Nichols; two brothers, Joe Truitt and wife Beulah of Sparta, Phillip Truitt and wife Sylvia of Sparta; one sister, Doris Handy and husband Jack of Ennice; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Nancey at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy Nichols and Elder James Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
