Click Here to View Livestream of the Service Nina Roberts Elliott, age 78, of Laurel Springs, NC passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Generations Assisted Living in West Jefferson, NC. She was born September 25, 1942 to the late Charlie R. and Josie Petty Roberts. Nina taught kindergarten for 33 years at Sparta Elementary School where she touched so many lives. She was a member of Laurel Springs Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and played the piano and that gave her great joy. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Everett Elliott; a first cousin, Suzi Roberts-Johnson. Nina is survived by three Brothers-in-Law Larry Elliott and wife Bronda of Jefferson; Norman Elliott of Jefferson and Robert Elliott and wife Reda also of Creston; three Sisters-in-Law Glenda Goodman and husband Mack of Todd; Barbara Roland and husband Jerry of Warrensville and Doris Stroud and husband John of West Jefferson; first cousins, Lee Beckworth and wife Kathy of Jefferson, Tim Beckworth of Haymarket, VA, Martha J. Roberts of Durham, Sam Roberts and wife June of Wildwood, GA, David Roberts and wife Martha of Salisbury, MD, John Roberts and wife Judith of Reidsville. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews who also survive. There will be a viewing for the public held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home. The family will not be at the funeral home during this time due to COVID. A private service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Hines officiating the service.
