Richard Kyle Murray, age 78 of 1153 Barrett Road, Ennice, NC passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. He was born December 28, 1939 in Alleghany County to the late Mack and Verdie Osborne Murray. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by four brothers, Grady Murray, Howard Murray, Cliff Murray, and infant brother; three sisters, Mattie Grace Murray, Beulah Absher, Lillian Wyatt. Kyle was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to many. He is survived by his wife, Betty Murray of the home; two daughters, Carol Blake and husband Roger of Mt. Airy, Bonnie Murray and fiancé James Hill of Galax, VA; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Fender of Sparta, Omah Wyatt of Sparta, Ethelene Clayville and husband Ronnie of Dover, DE, Mildred Billings of Elkin; two sisters-in-law, Reba Wyatt of Glade Valley, Vina Sue Murray of Glade Valley; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Kyle at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Zion Primitive Baptist Church at 5114 NC Hwy 18 N, Sparta, NC 28675 with Elder Pete Hawks and Reverend Joe Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
