Ronald Bayne “Ronnie” Hudson, age 71 of 13212 NC Hwy 18 N, Ennice, NC passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1948 in Alleghany County to the late Fred and Doris Wagoner Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Hudson; one sister, Joyce Dancy; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Thursey Funk; sister-in-law and husband, Betty and Robert Leonard. Ronnie belonged to Pleasant Home Baptist Church. He was a charter and retired member of the Glade Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He owned and operated Hudson Construction for many years.. He loved spending time with his family and friends playing cards, corn hole, marbles and fishing. He loved to stay busy building, polishing and driving his street rods. He was dedicated to God, his family and the community. He is survived by two daughters, Delores “Dee Dee” Hudson Bedsaul and husband Scott of Galax, VA, Lora “Lynn” Creed and husband Paul of Ennice; one granddaughter, Kaila Bedsaul of Galax, VA; three step-grandchildren, Brandi Creed, Benjamin Creed, and Amber Creed; five step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Cox and husband Garnett of Richmond, VA; his twin brother, Donnie Hudson and wife Joyce of Ennice, brother, Floyd Hudson of Mt. Airy; brother-in-law, Ricky Dancy and wife Jan of Sparta; a special companion, Mary Nilo; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Ronnie at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home Elder Pete Hawks and Elder Gwyn Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
