Thomas Shane Andrews, age 28, of Sparta, NC passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019. He was born May 19, 1991 in Alleghany County to Thomas Lennie Andrews and Karen Petty May. Shane had a big heart and loved being around his tribe. He was proud to be an uncle. We love you Shane, and you will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all. He is survived by his mother, Karen May of Sparta; his father, Tommy Andrews and Lisa of Sparta; his love of his life, Becky Brown of Glade Valley; three sisters, Emily Russell and husband Tommy of Ennice, Sharon Brown of Sparta, Sheila Andrews of Sparta; one brother, Derek May of Pounding Mills, VA; grandmother, Bobbie Petty of Sparta; aunts and uncle, Frances Caudill and husband Sam of Tobaccoville, Karla Petty of Sparta, Kathy Murphy of Sparta, Kellye Wiles and husband Leonard of Sparta, Gale Andrews and wife Geneva of Columbus, Mississippi; niece and nephew, Nicole Brown of Sparta, Elliot May of Ennice; several cousins and special friends also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Shane at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Ed Hall officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Karen May, 188 Moxley Hollow Road, Sparta, NC 28675.
