Virginia McCann Osborne, age 78 of Glade Valley, NC passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Alleghany County to the late William and Annie Winchester McCann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Garry “Scooter” Lee Osborne; two sisters, Cora Peele and Wanda Marie Pruitt; one brother, Joe Bill McCann. She loved her Lord Jesus, and she made her journey to be with him on Friday morning, January 5, 2024 safe in the arms of the Lord. Granny liked to witness to others, and she wanted to meet you in heaven too. She loved everybody and Jesus does too. Virginia is survived by five daughters, Audrey O. McCain of Sparta, Rita Osborne Atkins and husband Bruce of Kernersville, Ellen Irwin of Millers Creek, Mary Beth Harris and husband Johnny of Glade Valley, Melissa Joines and husband John of Sparta; six grandchildren, Adam Atkins and wife Jenny of Kernersville, Seth Atkins of Kernersville, Amber Wall and husband Matthew of Winston-Salem, Hannah and Jerome Hampton of Millers Creek, Savanna Harris of Thurmond, Garrett Burchette of Sparta; four great-grandchildren, Chloe Lea, Makenzie Corona, Graylynn Wall, Sawyer Wall; her cat, Miss Kitty; her grand-dog, Bella; sister-in-law, Carol Osborne of North Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to honor the life of Virginia at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2024 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be private. There will be no formal visitation. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers from Services Unlimited, Sandra Cox, Betty Guynn, Shelby Troy, Cindy Braxton, Nita Bare. Sorry Audrey Rita Ellen Marybeth and Melissa for the loss of your mother. I know you will miss her but she's in a better home and I know you've heard that and thought that yourself. I remember seeing her last year shortly after Bobby died in the grocery store. I pray that God bless you all and comfort your souls
