James “Jimmy” Robert Walker, age 74 of 1474 Little Pine Road, Ennice, NC passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born October 11, 1943 in Alleghany County to the late Elder Coy and Bessie Caudill Walker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Makenzee Walker; two brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Presnell Walker of the home; three sons, Greg Walker of Glade Valley, Jeff Walker and wife Yvonne of Hillsville, VA, Brad Walker and wife Penny of Sparta; one daughter, Christine Royal and husband Donnie of Ronda; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Caudill of Galax, VA, Rachel Wilson of Ennice; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to celebrate the life of Jimmy at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Lloyd Day, Reverend Ralph Smith, and Pastor Mark Wagg officiating. Interment will follow in Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
