Paula Greene

Paula Atkinson Greene went home to be with the Lord on her 81st birthday, Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare in Elkin, NC. She was born June 12, 1938 in Gallatin County, IL to the late Paul and Mabel Gatewood Atkinson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Greene; infant son, Bobby Greene, Jr; one sister, Shirley Ann Shaner; special friend, Don Nelson. Paula is known for her generous love and sweet spirit. Her life is a testament of love to all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Greene and wife Charlene of Ennice; two daughters, Linda Greene of Galax, VA, Tanya Jones and husband Jem of Dallas, NC; four grandchildren, Amanda Stevens and husband Tim of Ennice, Rebecca Greene Cox of Ennice, Dakota Greenawalt and Shandani Tuitt of High Point, Aiyana Gray and husband Marshall of Baltimore, MD; three great-grandsons, Landan Stevens, Blake Stevens, Trevor Cox; special brother-in-law, Bob Shaner of Clayton, DE; many special nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the graveside service to honor the life of Paula at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Little Pine Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Brother Garrett Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home.
