Willie Trivett Sr.

Willie Carl Trivett, Sr. age 81 of 197 River Country Road, Piney Creek, NC passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1938 in Watauga County to the late Lawton Henry and Lucinda Presnell Trivett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by wife and special friend, Lucille Trivett; one son, Lawton Henry Trivett; one grandson, Branden Trivett; two brothers, Lewie Trivett, Sr., and Dewey Trivett. He is survived by three sons, Willie Carl Trivett, Jr., and wife Elta of Piney Creek, Ricky Trivett and wife Donna of Sparta, Dean Trivett and wife Angela of Sparta; two daughters, Teresa Hamm of TN, Susan Simons and husband Junior of Piney Creek; six grandchildren, James Simons, Amanda Lynn, Amy Hamm, Crystal Hamm, Becky Church, Jacob Cockerham; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Newman of Arizona; special friend, Cindy Braxton; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service to celebrate the life of Willie at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Ed Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
